FAQ

What is Kling AI?

Kling AI is a video generation model developed by Kuaishou Technology. It turns text prompts or still images into short video clips at up to 1080p, and its later versions add native audio, multi-image references and multi-shot sequences.

Is Kling AI free?

Partly. The official web app gives every account a small number of free credits each day, but free generations are watermarked, limited to Standard quality and queued behind paying users. Paid Standard, Pro and Premier plans remove those restrictions.

Is there a Kling AI API?

Yes. Kuaishou runs the Kling Open Platform, a developer API billed per second of generated video, and the model is also available through third-party inference platforms such as fal.ai, Replicate and PiAPI.

Does Kling AI have an official GitHub repository?

No. Kling is a closed model and Kuaishou has not released weights, code or an official repository. This page is an independent collection of publicly available information about the model.

How do I try Kling AI online?

The official route is the Kling web app at kling.ai, which requires an account and gives daily free credits. The fastest route without a waitlist or subscription is https://klingaiai.site, which offers pay-per-generation access in the browser.

What are the limits?

Each generation is 5 or 10 seconds, extendable in steps to around three minutes. Standard mode is 720p and Professional mode is 1080p. Text inside the frame, complex hand motion and crowded multi-character scenes remain unreliable, and the content filter blocks violent, sexual and some real-person prompts.

What is the difference between Kling Standard and Professional mode?

Standard mode renders at 720p, generates faster and costs fewer credits; Professional mode renders at 1080p with better detail and motion and costs several times more credits. Most of the showcase clips online were produced in Professional mode.
